This New Year’s Eve was spent with our friends Dennis & Mayela from Kansas City, MO who were visiting their family in Monterrey, Mexico. We hopped a bus to Mexico City and then caught a small plane for a two –hour flight to our destination. We had the experience of eating Cabrita (goat) for our first New Year’s feast in Mexico, compliments of Mayela’s aunt. It was delicious! Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures of the food and the pics of the celebration turned out poorly. Sorry!
While in Monterrey, we visited a bird sanctuary and just hung out with our friends. But the favorite part of our trip was getting to see our youngest prayer partners, Andrew and Matthew. They pray for us every night before they go to bed! Isn’t that the greatest?
