It was twelve years ago today, in a church in Oklahoma City, that Scott and I took our marriage vows and started our adventurous life together.  To date, we have lived in Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Kansas City, Costa Rica and very soon…Mexico!  Our exciting travels have taken us to England, France (twice), Italy, Switzerland (twice), Austria, Germany (twice), Holland, Belgium, Peru, Venezuela, Costa Rica (twice), Nicaragua (twice) and Mexico. 

That’s a lot to pack into 12 short years!  In some ways it seems like we were walking down the aisle just a couple of years ago, and in other ways, it seems like we’ve known each other all of our lives!  What a blessing my Prince Charming has been to my life and I am so thankful to God that he allowed our paths to cross that chilly February evening in South Carolina 12 years ago!  Check out our slideshow above.  Unfortunately, I don’t have photos in digital form from our early years, but I hope you enjoy them anyway!

What a blessing it was to be able to celebrate my birthday with so many lovely cards and well wishes! I think between all of the cards I received in the mail plus the e-cards, I received nearly 110!! That’s probably a record for the school. All of the students whose last names begin with B share the same mail box at the school. Each day, as my birthday grew closer and up until the week after, the box was full of mail for me! You all made me feel really SPECIAL and I am forever grateful. A special thanks to my husband Scott for sending out that sneaky email to let our supporters know it was my birthday! I love you honey!

Our national friends also joined in the celebration. After one of our Sunday Bible studies, they presented me with a nice bag and a homemade necklace and bracelet. Also, Gabrielle (fellow missionary) made a chocolate cake that we all enjoyed together. It will be a birthday that I will not soon forget.
